Description
This adapter allows to use your pistorm (among others such V500) accelerator externally. It does not require that the internal CPU of the A500 be removed. The adapter will “shutdown” the internal CPU and will expose the external as the main CPU.
The adapter has the edge connector for the A500 and two female pin rows to connect the accelerator.
Note: Not all the accelerators will work on this solution, some accelerators might conflict with the internal CPU, so in that case, the internal CPU must be removed.
New version does not requiere any jumper setup.
Also, in order to use this adapter, you will need to set some jumpers. On the A500 side, there is a jumper called JP6 near the edge port that must be shorted, there are some revisions that will have this directly, and others like the rev6a that must be shorted.
Designed in four layers for proper signal isolation. PCB colors might vary.
